Last Sunday, Bishop William Swing, Founding Trustee and President Emeritus, delivered a sermon at Grace Cathedral, in San Francisco.
In his words: "Next week, we will elect a president of the United States. Among the myriad responsibilities that go with the office, none is of greater magnitude than the use of nuclear weapons."
Between August and September 2021, the URI AL&C Online Youth Training organized by the URI Global Program for the participation of youth was developed with the intervention of 15 young people from the CCs: Aflaiai, Constructores de Puentes, Teusaquillo, Mukua, Quinaroes , COEMATI, The Descendants of Guatemaya, Samay, ACRE from the countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama and Venezuela.
On October 7th, 2019, URI Asia Regional Coordinator in Asia, Dr. Fr. James Channan, collaborated with Golden Star CC coordinator Ms. Neelam Nisari to put the spotlight on the issue of gender equality, the 5th goal of the United Nations.
Members of the URI Cooperation Circle Interkultureller Kreis URI Bonn, as well as school children and others, folded more than 1100 origami cranes in memory of the victims of the A-Bomb having had fallen on Hiroshima in the year 1945.
The URI Europe Assembly was held in Ohrid, Macedonia on October 2-6, 2019. URI members from across Europe (including 15 countries and 32 Cooperation Circles) gathered to exchange ideas, enjoy productive conversations, and plan future collaboration and activities.
