Ever since UN announced June 21st, as the International Yoga day, several yoga enthusiasts around the world from different countries were gearing up and preparing to celebrate for the first time a special day dedicated to purify one's Body, mind and spirit. So in a way, this was the day to practice 'You become the change to see the change around you' echoed by Mahatma Gandhi. India being the seat of sages and saints who propounded and promoted yoga systems for ages for the welfare of whole world, took the lead and it is noticed that yoga is practiced daily by all those who are convinced of its holistic benefit for self and as part of social welfare.
It's been 15 full and fulfilling years since the United Religions Initiative charter was signed, and this year has brought many colorful and beautiful anniversary celebrations around the world.

Audri Scott Williams, Global Trustee of the United Religions Initiative (URI), was the Vision Keeper who led the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk, a Cooperation Circle of the URI since 2005, over 6 continents (2005-2009), and the 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace across America to over 50 communities (2010-2011). She has received numerous awards for her service to humanity.
CARAVAN received an award recognition from Jordan the King Abdullah II World Interfaith Harmony Week, and opened another BRIDGE exhibition in London, which included a song by celebrated Muslim singer Sami Yusuf.
Recently our Abrahamic Reunion CC held a leadership meeting at Tantur Ecumenical Institute with founding members of our Abrahamic Reunion, local coordinators and international supporters of our work from the Global Hope Fund and Rising Tide International.
