URI Stories of Impact

On November 25, members of CC Sonrío in Buenos Aires, Argentina were able to make their first face-to-face visit to the post-quarantine hospital, even in times of pandemic. 

Dialogue of Religious leaders in the proposal of Communities of Faith Meta Territory of Peace. On November 19, 2020, representatives of some churches met: Mennonites, Lutherans, Anglicans, Catholics, the Claretian Corporation, Benposta and Presbyterians, to know the proposal of the Communities of Faith - Teusaquillo Territory of Peace, in Villavicencio, Goal. 

Last Thursday, December 10, 2020, the last Conversation for this year was held with the theme Ancestral Health, directed by Sofía Painiqueo, a member of the Aflaiai CC, Maria Eva Cayu member of the same CC, within the cycle of monthly Conversations in celebration of the year Retire for 20 years of URI

The Association of Leaders of Communities of Faith - Teusaquillo Territory of Peace CC of Colombia is the last CC created in the region in this year 2020 and is the first CC created in Colombia, which adds another country to the Latin American region. The network continues to grow and we are very happy.

On December 9, 2020 URI Multiregion and URI Netherlands hosted the "Emergency Response/ER Amazonia - People of the Earth" online gathering.

Maria Oliva, first contact with the real Jewish CC TAO, who is also a teacher in the settlement, at this time of pandemic did all the work of distributing basic baskets to families who had registered individuals and children in school. 

This year, the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah (also spelled Chanukah or Hanukah) begins on sundown on Thursday, December 10.

Last week, Brazil was presented with the inclusion of another new CC, COMPAZ – Londrina (Municipal Council of Culture and Peace). And to celebrate this New Year's Eve, which for many Brazilians was quite difficult due to the pandemic) The basic baskets of food were distributed to the poorest peasant families living around Londrina.

On the last day 12/ 12 the CC Circolo Latinoamericano de Musicos promoted an online event to help one of its CC companies. This event is to help our brother Angel (Member of URI -CC LA of Musicians), to return to his land.
