URI Story Spotlight

Last Sunday, Bishop William Swing, Founding Trustee and President Emeritus, delivered a sermon at Grace Cathedral, in San Francisco.

In his words: "Next week, we will elect a president of the United States. Among the myriad responsibilities that go with the office, none is of greater magnitude than the use of nuclear weapons."

Between August and September 2021, the URI AL&C Online Youth Training organized by the URI Global Program for the participation of youth was developed with the intervention of 15 young people from the CCs: Aflaiai, Constructores de Puentes, Teusaquillo, Mukua, Quinaroes , COEMATI, The Descendants of Guatemaya, Samay, ACRE from the countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama and Venezuela.

URI remains alarmed by the escalation of violence between Israel and Hamas & expresses grave concern for the civilians on the ground.

Environmental and Media Activism for Sustainable Development

The Centre for Environmental Education and Development (CEED) Taraba State Nigeria was established in February, 2003, to increase awareness about the environment and sustainable development by Mr. Raymond Nyayiti Enoch, in recognition of the role environment, education, sustainable development; rights of all people to live in it play in promoting holistic human development.

Clean Water for Generations

Global Compassion, a URI CC in Cameroon recognised the deepening marginalization towards accessibility to safe, clean water in Bamia village and was persuaded to change this through fundraising for safe water points.

URI Youth gather to honour the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust

January 27th marks the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. Therefore, the Youth Connection Café for this month focused on the importance of this day, why it is important to remember the Holocaust and what the experiences of anti-Semitism look like in our world today.
