Last Sunday, Bishop William Swing, Founding Trustee and President Emeritus, delivered a sermon at Grace Cathedral, in San Francisco.
In his words: "Next week, we will elect a president of the United States. Among the myriad responsibilities that go with the office, none is of greater magnitude than the use of nuclear weapons."
Between August and September 2021, the URI AL&C Online Youth Training organized by the URI Global Program for the participation of youth was developed with the intervention of 15 young people from the CCs: Aflaiai, Constructores de Puentes, Teusaquillo, Mukua, Quinaroes , COEMATI, The Descendants of Guatemaya, Samay, ACRE from the countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama and Venezuela.
URI is made up of 63 Cooperation Circles in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The work includes cultural, social and religious diversity and the great teachings of indigenous worldviews.
Lejla Hasandedic-Dapo, URI Europe CC Liaison Officer and URI Individual Membership Coordinator participated in the recently held Train-the-trainer workshop organized by Deutsche Welle (DW) Academy together with 13 other participants from all over the World.
Desert Bloom participated in the retreat of the two-year project; Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS) – Resilience Building, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Athens, Greece, 14-19 November 2022.
