Lunzu Cooperation Circle, a URI member group in Blantyre, Malawi, has been working with students to educate them about the importance of planting trees.

In January, Youth for Peace organized a group of URI members to visit a community outside Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In 2020, URI held four Youth Connection Cafes, involving 93 young people from 29 different countries.

On November 25, members of Sonrío (a URI member group in Buenos Aires, Argentina) made their first face-to-face visit to the post-quarantine hospital since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Former US Secretary of State George P. Shultz, who celebrated his 100th birthday on December 13, 2020, awarded Youth Activist Kehkashan Basu of Toronto, Canada as the first recipient of the “Voices Youth Award" on January 6, 2021.
